Benefit For: Dustin Cobb
Date: Saturday May 10, 2008
Starting Location: Sharon Elementary School (2700 White Road Loganville, GA 30052)
Ending Location: Woodlee’s Academy (2125 Old Salem Rd Conyers, GA 30013)
Dustin Cobb is nine years old and in 3rd grade at Sharon Elementary School in Loganville, GA. He was diagnosed on January 31, 2001 with, Neuroblastoma stage 4 cancer (a form of childhood cancer affecting children under the age of ten. It forms in the nerve tissue, usually begins in the adrenal glands, neck, chest or spinal cord. By the time doctors have found the cancer, usually it has already spread to other parts of the body). Dustin has been battling this disease for over seven years. After many failed treatments local physicians have determined there are no more treatment options available within the state of Georgia. Currently the only treatment option for Dustin is a clinical trial being conducted in Burlington, Vermont. This clinical trial requires Dustin and his mother to travel every two weeks to Vermont. Your donations and contributions are greatly appreciated to help pay for travel expenses to continue the treatments. You can read more about Dustin at caringbridge.org/ga/dustincobb/. Anyone that can not participate in the ride but would like to make a donation there is information on an account set up for Dustin at caringbridge.org/ga/dustincobb/.
